Haven't been able to work much on the boat lately. Been getting things on the go at work, and trying to get some yard work done. So while tash was home, I planned to start glassing, but still had some touch ups to do on the deck of the boat. Also, epoxy recommends to wait two weeks before sanding, cause the dust shouldn't be as reactive. I do have a mask to wear of course, but rather play it safe.
Filling the gaps have been going very well. The spots in the boat are very pronounced at the time, but after sanding, most of the material will be removed. Most of the gaps are less then 1mm. Except for the bow and stern which I had to fill a lot more, which I explained in an earlier post.
I also made a detour while running around for work today, and grabbed the fiberglass cloth. So, the next stage is ready to go. I may need some more epoxy before its all said and done, and some other small stuff, mostly for the decking ect...
Been having a rough couple days of migraine's, but it broke up enough tonight for me to go down and finish the deck. There maybe another small gap or two I'll find after sanding again, but nothing too much to fix. So I'm going to let the boat sit now until tash is about to come home again, two weeks time. Depending on work, I may get it all sanded before she gets here, so we can start glassing right away!
Picture time!
