A lot has happened since the last time I updated on the boat! Not a whole lot with her, more so in my crazy fun filled life. I was involed in a Restaurant, that ate up all my time, my wifes time, and left nothing for our daughter or personal lives. So after some converstations, and a real look at what was going on to us and my health (I dont intend to get into the actual details on a open site), I had to step away. A shitty choice, but one we some times must make. But as always, one door closes, and another opens! I was doing a bit of part time teaching at the college, for the culinary arts programs, and was planning to stay at that for a while, in hopes of a full time position coming up, but another choice came along. I got offered a managment position at a local golf course, a few mintues from my house, taking over the food and beverage. After a couple coin flips, I took it and have been work'n me arse off ever since! (Thus the lack of updates) Even with my heavy work load here, I still get to see my daughter and wife much more then before. And come this winter when I have a couple months of down time, I should be able to finally, after 2+ years, get the boat finished.
As for the boat, I have been spending a few minutes here and there, touching up the wood working, shaping the bow , stern, and cockpit opening. I'm mostly held up now, due to the lack of fiberglass and epoxy. Once I have those two key materials in my hands, I'll be full steam ahead. I'm guessing about 5-10 hours of small touch ups, and a little but of reshaping i wanna do on the stern, and the Fiberglassing will begin. Which is why, I've been just doing a few mintues here and there, I dont wanna be to the point I need the fiberglass to do anything else. Cause after a very stressfull week, if I manage to take a day off, its a wonderful mind clearer.
So here's to new(but not so new) beginnings, and please, pretty please, new boats that will soon float.
