Wow!! I ready didn't think it was that long sicne I updated last. Progress is still just as slow. I'm still working way too much. It has slowed back a bit, so now I'm trying to catch up on everything else in life, then shoudl be able to get back at the boat. Last I wrote was that I was about to start routing out the strong back.... Yeah... Bad idea. Takes wayyy too long using a router, and had trouble with the bits slipping out. Guessing it was too much of a work load for it. So after many night, of fooling around, and ruing a couple pieces of wood I gave up. Not on the strong back altogether, just on that method. So, I bit the bullet, and bought a dado blade. Something I should have done at the start (along with the table saw). Managed to replace the pieces the router messed up, and cut all the groves, in about the same time I would have done one piece with the router. But, its done now, and I'm just about done gluing it together. I'm short on clamps, so its slow going with that part. But I put a push on it the past couple days, so by tonight I should be gluing the last piece on!!
Now, from what I see of it so far, its not the best strongback in the world. but its better then most 2x4 you can get around here. And shouldn't warp anymore then it is. I have been taking alot of photos. When I get the time I'll put some of them up. But for now, thats all!
